About De Novo
Individual Counseling
Counseling is a collaborative effort between the counselor and client. Professional counselors help clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; seek to improve communication and coping skills; strengthen self-esteem; and promote behavior change and optimal mental health.
Group Therapy
Groups can act as a support network and a sounding board. Other members of the group often help you come up with specific ideas for improving a difficult situation or life challenge, and hold you accountable along the way. Regularly talking and listening to others also helps you put your own problems in perspective. Oftentimes, you may feel like you are the only one struggling — but you're not. It can be a relief to hear others discuss what they're going through, and realize you're not alone.
Educational Advocacy
Ensuring that students with disabilities receive the services and accommodations they need, and that parents know their rights in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) process. Educational advocates work to de-mystify the Special Education process, and prepare and empower our families in 504 and IEP meetings.

I believe every person’s story has value and meaning. It is important for every person to have a voice in an environment that is safe with unconditional acceptance. My goal is to provide this space for my clients. I focus on building relationships with a person-centered approach. I operate with the understanding that we are all part of a system and the impact this can have on our lives.
I am dedicated to building relationships with my clients and creating an environment that is safe with no judgement. I am passionate about helping young adults, parents, children, adolescents, and military spouses and dependents. I am a strong believer that we are all a part of systems that impact our life and want to walk with you through that process.
I enjoy working with diverse concerns and issues such as anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, and trauma. I also enjoy the diversity within my clients and often work BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ clients, transgender and non-binary clients, clients with ADHD and other neuro-diversity, children with IEP’s and 504’s, and other school related concerns.
